Assam e-GRAS

Listed below are the payment modes available on the Assam e-GRAS portal:

Offline mode:

  • Payment Across Bank Counter (Cash/Cheque)

 Online modes:

  • Internet Banking (Retail/Corporate)
  • Payment Gateway (Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI)

Tax revenues include VAT and other obligatory levies, while non-tax revenues arise from fees, fines, dividends from state-owned enterprises and other miscellaneous sources through the state portal (e-GRAS; Electronic Government Receipt Accounting System). 

  • The customer must visit the Assam e-GRAS Portal using the link: https://assame-GRAS.gov.in/
  • The customer can access the portal using login credentials through their registered mobile number or username.

The customer can make payment at any Bandhan Bank branch in Assam, under the “Payment Across Bank Counter (Cash/Cheque)” option available on the Assam e-GRAS portal for a state tax and non-tax transactions. Click here for the list of branches.

While generating a challan on the Assam e-GRAS portal, the customer may select any of the following options:

For offline mode: 

  • “Payment Across Bank Counter (Cash/Cheque)” and submit the generated challan at any of the Bandhan Bank branch in Assam. Click here for the list of branches.

For online mode: 

  • Internet Banking (Retail/Corporate)
  • Payment Gateway (Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI)

If a ‘Maker’ has initiated any tax or non-tax payment, the ‘Checker’ must log in and check under ‘Dateline Page’ of the payments module to view the pending transactions. If the transaction date is older than 15 days, then as per extant guidelines, the challan will have expired and the status will show as expired. In such cases, a new challan must be initiated from the Assam e-GRAS portal: https://assame-GRAS.gov.in/

 

Yes, two-factor authentication is required for processing state tax payments.
 

There is no limit on the number of transactions. However, the value of tax transactions depends on the transaction limit assigned to the corporate for the day through the online mode. 

There is no limit on the tax and non-tax amount for online payments, but it will be governed by the authorisation limit set on the account. 

No. State tax and non-tax payments cannot exceed the daily transaction limit set at customer level. 

If a payment transaction is cancelled, you need to re-initiate a new transaction on the Assam e-GRAS portal and choose the applicable Bandhan Bank mode. A new Challan Reference Number will be generated and tracked by the Income Tax Authorities. 

The customer must log in to the Assam e-GRAS portal to download challans for successfully processed payments. Follow the path:

Yes, the customer can view the transaction preview page along with the Challan Reference before making payment.

Yes, Bandhan Bank provides an acknowledgement slip for all state tax transactions, which includes the Government Reference Number (GRN) and Challan Identification Number (CIN) generated through the Assam e-GRAS portal.
 

Yes, cheques and DDs of other banks will be accepted. Cheque/DD must be in favour of “Bandhan Bank Ltd State Tax Collection A/c ”. CTS cheques will be cleared as per standard turn-around time.

Yes, customers can pay taxes by submitting the generated challan at any Bandhan Bank branch in Assam, under “Payment Across Bank Counter (Cash/Cheque)” 

The expiry date varies by state. If payment is not completed within the specific period, the challan will expire and the customer must reinitiate a new transaction.

No modifications or rectifications can be made to transaction details or challans once the payment is successfully processed.

The Bank cannot refund or reverse funds once the state tax or non-tax payment is successfully processed. Customers must contact the Treasury Office and follow their prescribed guidelines.

No, the system does not accept decimal values in the amount field.
